I have never purchased software before that required a 24 hour verification process, but believe it or not this one requires that you have a valid student ID and send it to them before they'll let you use the software!! They claim that's because it's at a special price, but there is no discount - in fact the academic version is $8 more expensive than the regular version. I did go to an Ivy League College, I have a BA degree and an MBA, but frankly it's none of their business.Amazon should warn people on their website about the "proof of academic status" but they don't.
